Inclusion by Design - Executive Leadership Development Program (Inclusion by Design) is a training and development program sponsored by the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga (ULGC).
This three-year pilot program aims specifically to create a pipeline of competitive, highly skilled people of color and women leaders who are prepared to assume executive level leadership assignments, thereby positively changing the face of the business and nonprofit communities in Chattanooga.
The ULGC has chosen to partner with Soderquist Leadership in the curriculum design for this executive leadership development program. Program goals will be achieved through five (5) distinct themes - Leading yourself, Leading Others, Leading with Diversity and Inclusion, Leading within the Organization, and Leading Change through Transition. Soderquist serves as the educational partner in providing program participants with a multi-format approach that focuses on equipping leaders to win in the marketplace. Turning Point Leadership Group, LLC has been chosen as the Diversity and Inclusion training partner. Curriculum details for both partners are included in the attached document.
Program participants will learn from accomplished executive leaders, experiential initiatives, personalized assessments, executive coaching, mentoring and assignments between sessions. The ideal participants are functioning at the senior level and experiencing success in their current role, but have a desire and the capacity to grow; have been identified by executive management to have executive management level potential; have great technical skills, but need to learn to think more strategically and to focus on impact; and/or just need additional formal leadership training. At the end of the program, the successful participant will be equipped with additional knowledge and skills to function successfully in an executive assignment; and to navigate gender, racial and cultural biases.
