9th Annual Power Luncheon

The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga is proud to present its 9th Annual Entrepreneur Power Luncheon (EPL) on August 22nd at the Westin Hotel from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
As a primary fundraiser for the Urban League’s Center for Economic and Black Business Success (CEBBS), EPL has grown into a premier gathering in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Business leaders, innovators, and community champions unite to celebrate achievements, foster connections, and gain valuable insights into the entrepreneurial journey.
While August is National Black Business Month, dedicated to recognizing Black businesses nationwide, the Urban League supports Black and other minority-owned businesses year-round, providing a culturally responsive ecosystem that accelerates growth, expands network access, and enhances knowledge for sustained success.
This year’s event theme, “The Resilient Entrepreneur: Strategies for Renewal & Sustained Success,” will focus on how entrepreneurs can maintain resilience while renewing their business models through leadership, technology, market adaptation, and more. Our keynote speaker, Sevetri Wilson, founder and CEO of SolidGround Innovations, LLC, is a nationally recognized leader. She has been named a Wall Street Journal bestselling author, one of Inc. Magazine’s 100 Female Founders building world-changing companies, Entrepreneur’s 100 Most Influential Women, and one of Black Enterprise Magazine’s 40 under 40.
In 2022, her venture Resilia closed a $35 million Series B, marking the largest funding round ever closed by a solo Black female founder, bringing the company’s total funding to nearly $50 million. This event promises to be both educational and inspirational!

We hope you will continue to partner with us again this year as an event sponsor. As a sponsor, you will receive a reserved table for the luncheon, recognition according to your sponsorship level, and tickets to the private VIP reception the night before the event. This will also allow your team to network with inspiring and influential entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
To explore sponsorship packages, please visit our sponsorship page here. Please confirm sponsorship interest by June 27th.

Thank you for your consideration and support. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of Chattanooga-area minority entrepreneurs. For more information about the event contact Lya Kimbrough, CEBBS Senior Director at: lkimbrough@ulchatt.net

“Participating in the Next Level Streetwise MBA Program gave me the opportunity to be laser focused on the business side of running my law firm. I made strong connections with business owners in a variety of industries that I may not have ever met otherwise. Most business owners are experts at their particular skill or craft, but not necessarily experts in what it takes to run a business. This program is definitively a game changer.”

– Amanda Jelks – Jelks Law | Nextlevel Graduate, 2017

“Looking back on it, I didn’t know much about business before participating in NextLevel, [It] gave me the foundation I needed. I learned about finances, the need to hire an accountant and attorney, and how to improve my management style. The program was a lifesaver.”

– Walter Lindsey – Unity One East | Nextlevel Graduate

“After completing the NextLevel program my company has doubled in revenue within the first year and has experienced on average 30% growth every year since graduating.”

– Jennifer Hoff – Skye Strategies | Nextlevel Graduate
