Connected Literacy

The Connected Literacy program is a FREE high-dosage, low-ratio tutoring program offered through a partnership with Hamilton County Schools, Tennessee Department of Education, and the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga.

NAS/Project Ready was a culturally enriching program that allowed me to meet with students from different schools across Chattanooga. We covered some aspects of mental health, resume building, financial literacy, advocating to our legislatures (Day on The Hill in Nashville), networking, basic life skills, and college culture that will help us in the future. I strongly encourage all high school students to apply to this amazing program.

– Maurquez Thompson | Brainerd High School Alumni 2023

“My time in NAS/Project Ready allowed for me to form long lasting relationships with the other members and staff. I learned more about myself and ways to improve different aspects of life like academics, college preparation, leadership, mental health, financial literacy, and many more tools to better my future.

– Kennedy Garrett | The STEM School Alumni

“I was a part of the National Achievers Society during the cohort of 2012-2013. After successfully completing the program, the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga was able to connect me with the opportunity to apply for the Bi-LO Scholarship, where I was one of the recipients to win $2500 to go towards my college education at MTSU. Going through the program was one of the best choices I could have made.”

– Cardell Davis | National Achievers Society 2012-2013
